Strategic Repositioning SSA's 3rd Asia Superyacht Conference

"Transforming Asia Into A Sustainable Superyacht Building, Refit and Cruising Destination"...

Superyacht Singapore Association (SSA) has continued on from its outstanding success of its previous two editions of the Asia Superyacht Conferences, and greeted our delegates with an unprecedented move to holding our 3rd Asia Superyacht Conference in April 7th to 8th; which now moved from October to April.

Aligning the 3rd Asia Superyacht Conference with the inaugural Singapore Yacht Show provides a unique opportunity for both the trade and consumers to gain exposure to this growing leisure business.

In the Opening Address by Mr. Arthur Tay, Chairman of SSA, he explains that “this is a deliberate strategy to excite the yachting industry, and a strategic repositioning to attune to the needs of the market in Asia”.

The 3rd Asia Superyacht Conference has lined up with a list of presentations providing an insight to assessing the global piracy trends and the impact on the Superyacht Industry in Asia, an overview of infrastructure and developments in China and Hong Kong, developing an interlinked Superyacht industry between the Middle East and South East Asia…

The presentations provided an exchange crucial enough to recognize the potential in the Asian Pacific region in pursuing yachting industry exponentially.  The yachting industry has attracted enough attention manifested by the surge of activities and the burgeoning of marinas around the region.  The recent buoyancy translates to a new trend of Superyacht owners looking for new cruising grounds, relatively unexplored in Asia.

The Conference heightens with interactive panel discussions assessing China as an emerging Superyacht building location, and the charter landscape in Asia.

As part of their continuing strong-hold in Asia, Gulf Craft announced their new membership with the Superyacht Singapore Association. Through the membership, Gulf Craft are further confirming their commitment to the Asia region and increasing their local presence and support for the ever-growing Asian yachting industry.

Delegates were treated to a welcome networking drinks reception on the Floating Bar at the stunning ONE°15 Marina Club, and an opportunity to view one of the superyacht built locally in Singapore, a 128 ft motor yacht.

SSA is grateful to garner the support of the Singapore Tourism Board,  and the immense efforts of many including our event organizer Informa Yacht Group, who contributed to the success of the 3rd edition of the Asia Superyacht Conference.
