SSA Networking & Drinks Nite @ The Queen & Mangosteen a success!

SSA held its first networking event on the 17th of June at gourmet British Pub "The Queen & Mangosteen", situated at the first level of the vibrant VivoCity. 33 members and guests turned up in total, and everyone had a good time.

The evening started off well with cool weather. A presentation of beautiful megayachts and colourful superyacht lifestyle images played on the projector screens in the background. Guests started to arrive at 7.30pm and began mingling light-heartedly with one another.  At 8.30pm, Scott Walker, Director of Asia Pacific Superyachts opened the event with a welcome speech before handing over to Arthur Tay, chairman of the Superyacht Singapore Association, who thanked everyone for taking time to attend the social function.

The night quickly passed amidst the happy chatter and banter of old industry friends re-gathering and new acquaintances getting to know each other. Draft beer and house wine were served, together with great-tasting nibbles. There were Deep Fried Crispy White Bait, Spicy Minced Beef with Nacho Chips, Chips with Lemon Grass Aioli and Crudites with Dips. Everyone was having fun in the relaxed setting and most stayed on long into the night after the event officially ended at 9.30pm.

It was a success, to say the least as many feedback positively about how much they had enjoyed themselves. More such events to come in the following months ahead, perhaps?
