As per the resolutions proposed January 12th 2008, SSA membership fees from 2009 onwards have been revised as follow:
Resolution 1- Marketing of Ordinary Membership only:
Article 1.1: It was proposed and accepted that only Ordinary Memberships will be sold. As such the marketing of Affiliate Memberships is put on hold until further notice. As such, all Members will be entitled to the same benefits (voting rights, database etc…) until further notice.
Resolution 2- Entrance fee for Ordinary Membership:
Article 2.1: it was proposed and accepted that the one-time entrance fee shall be S$2,500.
Article 2.2: it was proposed and accepted that the one-time entrance fee shall be subject to a promotional discount for a period of three months and not applicable beyond 75 new Members.
Article 2.3: The discounted rate for the period shall be S$1,850 i.e. with an applicable discount of S$650.
Resolution 3- Yearly Membership Subscription Fee for Ordinary Members:
Article 3.1: it was proposed and agreed that the Ordinary Yearly Membership Subscription Fee shall be S$1,500 per annum.
Article 3.2: it was proposed and agreed that new Members paying their entrance fee shall not be the yearly Membership subscription fees until renewal of their Membership the following year.
Resolution 4: Renewal of Membership:
Article 4.1: For simplification of administrative purpose, it was proposed and accepted that Memberships are renewable on a calendar year basis.
Article 4.2: Hence, it was proposed and accepted that the Membership of all Founding Members who officially became Members when the Association was fully registered (Nov. 2007) and who enjoyed a full Membership from Nov. 2007 to date (even though invoicing and payments were processed later in the course of 2008), shall see their Membership officially renewed as of January 1st 2009.
Article 4.3: As such, it was proposed and accepted than an invoice for renewal of 2009 Membership shall be addressed to them soonest, as per 2009 new approved Membership rates.
Article 4.4: As a matter of goodwill it was proposed and accepted that Ordinary Members recruited in the end of 2008 or early 2009 prior to this resolution shall see their Membership renewable January 1st 2010 only.
