Simpson Marine is fast expanding throughout Asia with the opening of another office in Pattaya, adds to the dynamics of the well-established Phuket office and the evolving regional network.
According to Grant Saunders, Simpson Marine's Thailand Country Manager, the decision to open a second office was a direct response to the growth in new yacht sales in Thailand, and the expanding leisure marine industry in the country and the region. "It goes without saying that Thailand has always been apopular yachting destination, and it is still gathering momentum. Our new office will allow us to tap into this evolving market and broaden our brokerage, management and maintenance services throughout the country, and also strengthen our presence within Southeast Asia." Functioning as an extension to the ever-present Phuket office, the new Pattaya hub will perform as a full-service sister office that will accommodate a staff of four, who will report directly to the Phuket headquarters. "Pattaya is an ideal boating haven as it is only an hour-and-a-half from Bangkok, has good marine facilities and is attracting avid boaters who understand the beauty of Thailand's eastern seaboard, notably Koh Chang," he said.
In recent months, the Phuket office has exceeded initial sales market expectations, and the interest in Simpson Marine brands is red hot with orders for new models taking off in Thailand, most recently with the delivery of the first Azimut 47 to Thai waters.
