SSA member Aptic S.A shares its latest updates on the construction of IMPIAN, its 120 foot classic yacht

Aptic S.A, a founding member of the Superyacht Singapore Association, is pleased to share its latest updates on the contruction of "Impian", its 120-foot classic cruise yacht.

"Impian", a 120-foot wooden classic yacht built by Aptic S.A in its Bintan shipyard is now 75% completed. Olivier Benoist, Aptic's Managing Director comments, "The hull and infrastructure is now complete. We patiently treated the wood repeatedly to make sure that the boat will last a very long time. We are really building "Impian", which means "dream" in Indonesian so that 150 years from now, she still discovers new places in Southeast Asia. Besides, all the water, fuel, and grey matter tanks have been fitted (all built in-house). We are now slowly working on the superstructure and paying great attention to details. Our local craftmen are not interested in speed but in making things fit well with excellent finishing. You will see that the yacht will be a very nice blend of traditional European boat building techniques and of Indonesian art and craftmanship". As for the cruising future of the yacht, Olivier adds with a smile, "Initially, the yacht was built for my wife and I to relax and go cruising in style in the region. My spouse is a large Southeast Asia antique dealer so we could not decently purchase a "resin" yacht. Now that the yacht is nearing completion and with the growing interest for the region, we will also make the yacht available for charter to give more people the opportunity to have great cruising experiences around Singapore."

"Impian" will be available for charter and marketed and managed by Aptic S.A and ONE15 Luxury Yachting (www.one15luxuryyachting.com).
