January 19th, 2009.
Having made his entry into the world of private Clubs at the venerable Hong Kong Club where he served for five years as Deputy General Manager in charge of food & beverage operations Robert then moved on to Club Corporation of Asia, a leading developer and operator of private Clubs. His six years with CCA as Projects Manager saw him involved in diverse Club projects throughout the region.
A three year stint with a leisure consultancy in Singapore followed before he moved back to Hong Kong as General Manager of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, probably Asia’s most active Yacht Club. Robert spent six years with RHKYC overseeing the Club’s day to day operations as well as the renovation of all three of its Clubhouses.
Returning to Singapore in 2005 as Executive Director of Sentosa Golf Club more renovation and development work ensued as well as involvement in staging the Barclays Singapore Open, Asia’s richest national open golf tournament.
Now at the helm of Raffles Marina Club (www.superyacht.sg/marinas-a-superyacht-berthing), Robert will oversee all aspects of the Club’s operations and strategic development.
With this new appointment, the Superyacht Singapore Association, believes that more and ever Singapore is gearing towards equipping itself to become a prime superyacht hub and destination. SSA warmly welcomes Robert and wishes him a very successful tenure.
