Singapore Company Yantai Raffles, a SSA member, headed by the Chang Brothers is building Illusion in their China Yard. SSA was privy to the project that demonstrates Singapore entreneurship spirit.
Over dinner at the Monaco Yacht Show, hosted by Julian Chang, SSA met with some of the partners and suppliers involved in the project and chatted again about Yantai's ambition to be another Lürssen or Feadship but more to make a mark buy building a few iconic Superyachts, amongst one of the largest superyachts, Asean Lady which is based in Singapore, and the equally impressive 90m classic megayacht Nero which is built for Corsair. This truly reflect a true independence of mind and real boldness. Those whoever stepped into Asean Lady are always in awe at the level of Chinese craftsmanship in the wood and stone works for example.
No doubt the 90m superyacht Illusion is to raise the bar further to exceeding all existing standards, transcending traditional mindsets and escalating to new heights.
