The Superyacht Singapore Association recently held its 2010 Premier Networking Night at Helutrans on 17th August. Marketed as ARTSPACE@Helutrans, the gallery has a wide space of 12,000square feet and a ceiling height of 5.5meters in a white cube that accentuates the beauty of its artworks.
32 participants came for the Networking session, among whom many were new to the superyacht industry. The night commenced with a welcome speech by SSA Executive Director Jean-Jacques Lavigne and was followed by a short introduction of services/products by various new members like Boats, Boats & Boats Services, Swift Integrated Marine Services and ICF International, as well as the venue sponsor Helutrans. In the midst of the presentations, Jean-Jacques also took the opportunity to update the attendees of the progress and developments taking place in the superyacht industry in Singapore.
Many were delighted to know the industry is doing well and superyacht traffic has been growing strong. Lilian Ong from furnishing solution provider Class Pte Ltd commented that it was a very fruitful event and Ong Tiong Wee from Viking Airtech Pte Ltd which specializes in HVACR equipment manufacturing wrote in to say that the networking was not only informative but a good forum to get acquainted with other superyacht enthusiasts and he was looking forward to participate in future SSA activities.
